Backyard Harvest has partnered with the City of Moscow and the Moscow Food Co-op to allow for the acceptance of federal food assistance funds at both the Saturday Moscow Farmer's Market and the Tuesday Growers Market. Now everyone in our community can purchase fresh, locally-grown fruits, veggies, breads, honey, eggs & more. Here are the details—

For Shoppers |

Just come to the Backyard Harvest booth at either of the following markets |

Moscow Farmers Market | Saturdays 8am–12noon | Friendship Square (inbetween Main & Jackson). Backyard Harvest is located in the City booth facing the playground. Look for the "Shop the Market" sign.

Tuesday Growers Market | Tuesdays 4.30–6.30pm | Moscow Food Co-op Parking Lot (121 E 5th St.). Look for the Backyard Harvest booth/Shop the Market sign

We will swipe your Quest card and give you with “Market Money” in the amount you specify.

Market Money drawn from Food Stamp Benefits will be accepted by vendors to purchase: fruits & vegetables, seeds & plant starts for growing food, bread, eggs, cheese, honey, meat, and bulk hot food items (i.e. 2lbs. barbacue). You cannot use your Market Money to purchase single servings of hot food items or non-food items such as crafts, flowers, etc.

Vendors will not give change, but (when possible) will round your purchase to the amount of the Market Money with additional fruit, veggies, etc.

Market Money is only valid on the day in which it is issued. You will not be able to use
it at another market.

For questions on how to redeem Market Money or any general concerns or
suggestions, please contact Amy Grey at 208.669.2259 or amy@backyardharvest.org.

For Vendors |

Thanks for participating in the SHOP the MARKET program. Your efforts will allow hundreds of area families to purchase locally grown fruits & veggies, eggs, meat, bread, honey and much, much more.

Click here to download the Vendor's Guide which will give you the program details.

Market Money can be redeemed either during or immediately after the market by visiting the Backyard Harvest booth. Feel free to save up your Market Money over several weeks if you would prefer a single larger check as opposed to cash payments.

Market Money must be redeemed by November 30th of the year in which it will be issued or it will be void.

For questions on how to redeem Market Money or any general concerns or
suggestions, please contact Amy Grey at 208.669.2259 or amy@backyardharvest.org.
