Gleaning Teams: Our core teams of volunteers will harvest as much produce as possible during our short harvest windows. View full description.

Gardening Assistants: Work will consist of prepping, weeding, watering, planting, and harvesting produce. Experience is preferred to ensure our plants grow up strong and healthy, getting the right amount of water and TLC. View full description.

Garden Coordinator: This leadership role will organize and oversee gardening work parties and may also include working with U of Idaho Extension for gardening classes and related education. View full description.

Distribution + Delivery Support: Volunteers will help to transport produce to various food access sites throughout the region. View full description. 

Media + Communications: Volunteers will help built visibility of our work within the communities we serve. Tasks may include social media planning and posts, monthly e-newsletters, website support and development, and other public relations tasks. View full description. 

Outreach + Event Support: Volunteers will assist with organizational outreach opportunities for Backyard Harvest and food access partners throughout the region. Tasks may include tabling at community events, event planning, and/or helping with event activities. View full description.

Outreach + Education Committee: Two non-board volunteer seats are available on our Outreach & Education Committee. Volunteers will help identify outreach and education opportunities, carry out event planning tasks, line up volunteers, as well as additional tasks assigned by the committee chair.  View full description. 

Fundraising + Finance Committee: Two non-board volunteer seats are available on our Fundraising & Finance Committee. The committee is involved in grant writing, fundraising, event planning, developing our gratitude team, and additional tasks assigned by the Committee. View full description.
